About

Missing Q Press is a custom design and letterpress studio that began in 2007 by owner and creative director Jason McDaniel. A true paper aficionado and letterpress craftsman, Jason’s unique approach to design and attention to detail have earned him recognition for producing the highest quality work. Our shop consists of 4 vintage letterpresses and an antique engraving press along with an assortment of gluers, stitchers and finishing machines. Using the most luxurious papers and custom ink colors, each piece of correspondence is printed with the ultimate goal of creating something that is timeless and chic.

All of our work is designed and produced in small batches at our in house studio in Dallas, Texas where we like to work in a little southern charm and hospitality for y’all. We are available by appointment only.

What’s in a name?

We get a lot of questions about why our company is called Missing Q Press. It’s a simple story really, but in our humble beginnings of acquiring old letterpress equipment, we came across a chunky woodtype font that we loved and wanted to add to our collection. But during the sorting process, we sadly discovered a single missing letter, the eponymous “Q” that instantly became the inspiration for our namesake brand.
